We believe quality education can end the cycle of poverty and the challenges of leadership in Nigeria.

Peter-Adegoke-Foundation-Africa

Peter Adegoke Foundation intervenes in education in radical ways. We believe quality education can end the cycle of poverty and the challenges of leadership in Nigeria. Therefore, we provide educational grants, fellowships and mentoring to exceptional young Nigerians. We also incubate groundbreaking educational ideas.

Although we do not directly provide education or schooling; we facilitate access to educational opportunities for our Foundation’s beneficiaries. Through our activities, we honour the legacy of Peter Adegoke.

Peter Adegoke was a man of modest means. He was a tailor in his youth and a clergyman. He served as the leader of his church denomination, until he passed away at 103 years old. Peter Adegoke loved education. He insisted that everyone in his circle of influence or under his roof went to school or learned a trade. He championed several educational causes and invested in strangers.

Our desire is to reduce inequity in access to quality education by the most vulnerable and indigent members of Nigerian communities.

Peter Adegoke Foundation is guided by five main objectives:

Reduce inequity in access to quality education by the most exceptional but vulnerable and indigent members of Nigerian communities.

Leverage technology and media to provide quality education to Nigerians.

Contribute to educational policies, laws, practices and research that arefocused on the evolving educational needs of Nigerians.

Create world-class alternative education & vocational training centres where community-specific solutions are continually researched and taught.

Create structured mentoring programmes where young people can learn, re-learn and unlearn values.

Our values are the building blocks of our culture. They are Generosity, Compassion, Integrity and Partnership.

Generosity

We will give nothing less than 85% of all donations to beneficiaries and in service to the objectives for which the Foundation was set up. We will at no point, spend more than 20% on administration and other running costs.

Compassion

We will give to every single aligned need that our budget can handle, promptly, and with a high sense of service, while still leaving all our beneficiaries feeling dignified.

Integrity

We will ensure transparency and accountability is maintained in our operations. We will publish our financials annually and give extensive reports on how every resource is spent.

Partnership

We will not operate in a silo. We will partner with other institutions and share information & data.
